Culture
Known for being sweet peas, the plant is a cross between Chinese and English peas. You can eat the whole pod which has a sweet taste, hence the name “sugar”. Origin
Its origin is from the United States, where its consumption is widespread. It was invented by Calvin Lamborn in the 60’s, who crossed Chinese peas with English peas.
